Landscape Technician II
Under the guidance of the Landscape Foreman, the Landscape Technician plays a crucial role in rejuvenating damaged landscapes through repair projects. The position involves various tasks such as grading terrain, installing sod and seed, repairing irrigation systems, and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Grades and smooths terrain with shovels and rakes to be suitable for installing sod or seed.
- Installs sod, grass seed, shrubbery, flowers, and occasionally trees to restore landscapes to their original conditions.
- Distributes pine straw or mulch around new landscaping.
- Responsible for repairing irrigation systems as needed to ensure optimal functionality.
- Cleans streets and driveways.
- Installs silt fence to retain soil and prevent runoff.
- Communicates clearly and courteously with property owners and the public.
- Responsible for assisting the Facilities Maintenance Specialists with maintaining the grounds at Henry County Water Authority main campus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Georgia Driver's License required. Flagging certification or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
