Malachi House Groundbreaking

Community Invited to Celebrate Groundbreaking of The Malachi House Community Center

McDonough, GA, Thursday, October 6, 2022 - The River Refuge invites the community to celebrate the commencement of the construction of The Malachi House during a groundbreaking ceremony on October 6, 2022.  Brief remarks from the Honorable Mayor Sandra Vincent, Honorable Councilman Rufus Stewart, Sheriff Reginald Scandrett, Honorable Chairperson Carlotta Harrell and Honorable Commissioner Johnny Wilson. The location for the groundbreaking will be 312 Rogers St,  McDonough, at 10am.  

The Malachi House will be a two-story, 6,000 sq. ft. community center in the heart of the community we have been serving for over 7 years.  

“We are excited to see all of the planning and community engagement coming to fruition for The Malachi House, ” said Honorable Mayor Sandra Vincent.

The River Refuge International’s The Malachi Project is designed to provide children and families, who are in need, education both in practical matters and spiritual growth.
