The Women's Leadership Council awards the Scholarship for Young Women to two recipients annually during the

Women's EmPOWERment Summit held in March during National Women's History Month.

2026 Application

The application is available online now until January 16, 2026. Scholarship applications are reviewed by a panel and results will be announced in a personal email to the student applicant in February 2026 and recognized during the Women’s Empowerment Summit, March 5, 2026.

  • Applicant must be a female, Henry County high school junior or senior.
  • Applicant must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher. Transcript required.
  • Applicant will write a 500-word essay (in 12-point Times New Roman) highlighting any awards, work experience and explaining how receiving the scholarship will help the student attain her educational plans and career goals.

Applications must be submitted by 12:00 PM Midnight, January 16, 2026 to memberservices@henrycounty.com.

Timeline for the 2026 Scholarship for Young Women

  • November 17, 2026 - Application Period Opens
  • January 16, 2026 - Application Period Closes at 12:00 PM
  • January 23, 2026 – February 6, 2026 – Application Scoring by Scholarship Review Committee
  • February 11, 2026 – Award Notifications Mailed
  • March 5, 2026 – Scholarships Awarded at Women’s EmPOWERment Summit
