Between weekly networking events, monthly seminars and annual large-scale events, the Henry County Chamber hosts more than 20 events a year. Throughout the year, the Henry County Chamber welcomes attendees to its annual signature events. Below is a list of our well-known and well-loved events:
Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner
Held in February, this is the Chamber’s only black tie gala of the year. The Henry County Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) celebrates years of connecting and growing the business community in Henry County with a premier program at the HCCC Annual Banquet & Dinner, celebrates the Chamber’s successes of the previous year and is the ceremonial passing of the gavel from one Chairman to the next. Held each year the first Saturday of February, this signature event is dedicated to celebrating leading business owners and entrepreneurs, corporations and supplier diversity advocates, government and community leaders.
The Henry County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee proudly hosts Henry County’s STAR Breakfast each year at Eagle’s Landing Country Club. STAR stands for (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition). During the annual event, Chamber officials will honor our county’s STAR Students and Teachers for that year. Chamber members are invited to show support for the STAR Breakfast by sponsoring this wonderful event.
Henry County Day at the Capitol
This event is hosted by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and the Henry County Development Authority and provides an opportunity for Henry County citizens and state decision-makers to become better acquainted. On this day we will receive visits from our legislative delegation and other state officials.
While at the Capitol we have breakfast, visit with delegates, informally tour the Capitol, and get our picture with the Governor. It is a great way to get to know others at the Chamber while visiting our Capitol and learning about our state government and local delegation.
The Henry County Chamber of Commerce is proud to support Henry County Schools in its pursuit of educational excellence by sponsoring the Teacher Induction Program (TIP) every July. The luncheon is part of a week-long orientation of new teachers to the Henry County School System and the Henry County Chamber helps welcome the teachers to the Henry County School System. Chamber members help by sponsoring the luncheon or donating promotional items. These are items that are often needed in the classroom each year. Members not only have an opportunity to advertise their business, but they help reduce the out-of-pocket costs for teachers to stock their classrooms.
Annual Golf Classic
This Golf Classic is held in September and gives attendees an opportunity to network on the links with other business professionals. The Classic kicks off with a shotgun start at 10:00 AM. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place teams and the Putting Green Contest, as well as Hole-in-One and Long Drive contests. There are also some nice gifts for all the golfers that participate. Lunch is provided during the event, and there is food and drinks available during the awards presentation in the restaurant following the event, along with some great raffle prizes. It is a great day of golf, networking and all around fun. Visit Website
The purpose of the Intergovernmental Retreat is to provide an informal setting for open and substantive exchange of views on critical issues and to hear about new developments in marketing Henry County.
The annual Washington Fly-In trip to Washington, D.C. allows attendees to visit with Henry County’s congressional delegation and other federal officials while advocating for local businesses.
