Chamber Development Division
Vice Chair: Steve Nail, Nail Heating & Air Conditioning

Ambassadors: Genie Moore, chair, Mary Kay Cosmetics
Positively promotes the Chamber while supporting the membership, staff, and mission; encourages members to participate in programs, activities, and events; and provides assistance at programs and events. Meets last Wednesday of the month at noon.
Communications: Sharon Ponder, chair, Bennett International Group
Develops strategies that enhance membership benefits and communicate the value of Chamber activities and programs. Meets second Thursday of the month at 3:45 p.m.
Elite Roundtable: Christy Chewning, chair, Central Georgia EMC
Launched for Elite Investors, this program provides updates from local business and civic leaders on key issues impacting our business members.
Golf: Gary Sparrow, Henry County Chamber of Commerce
Responsible for the planning, development, organizing, and implementing the Chamber’s annual golf classic.
Membership: Gary Sparrow, Henry County Chamber of Commerce
Oversees membership recruitment and retention enabling the Chamber to generate sufficient revenues to support needed programs. Meets third Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m.
Past Chairs Council: Sharon Ponder, chair, Bennett International Group
The Council will include all past chairs of the Chamber board. Past chairs can serve the Chamber by providing advice, guidance, and perspective. In addition, by providing updates to the council, the Chamber can count on them to further the public relations reach.
Economic & Community Development Division

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: TBD, chair
Works to promote the value and power of diversity, equity, and inclusion in our community to support and develop talent, resources, and business opportunities necessary to elevate minority businesses and employees in an increasing competitive global marketplace.
Small Business Council: Dodie Cason, chair, Heritage Bank
Makes an effort to understand the needs of small business, the current status of this business community, and ensure the Chamber is focused on the priorities associated with the needs of these businesses. Meets first Thursday of the month at 4 p.m.
Industry Roundtables: TBD, chair
Targeted industry sectors will be invited to meetings with Chamber and Economic Development leadership to discuss issues pertaining to the particular industry; input received will help to shape the public policy resulting in a direct impact on participating businesses.
Government & Education Division

Education Attainment: Dr. Elna Poulard, chair, Family Support Circle
Cultivates partnerships with Henry County educational institutions to strengthen education attainment and workforce development. Meets fourth Tuesday, every other month at 8:30 a.m.
Government Affairs: Trisha Colpetzer, chair, City of McDonough
Develops partnerships with federal, state, and local government agencies and key elected officials to ensure access to and impact on key business and community issues. Meets quarterly on second Thursday at 10 a.m.
Leadership Henry: Cheri Hobson-Matthews, chair, Henry County
Seeks to prepare, involve, and sustain leaders from diverse backgrounds who are committed and qualified to address community challenges and improve the quality of life in Henry County.
Transportation: TBD, chair
Works to improve the transportation infrastructure in Henry County through greater understanding of the issues, intensifying community understanding, and promoting advocacy at local, state, and federal levels.
Youth Leadership Henry: Don Dunlap, chair, Henry County Schools
A countywide leadership program for high school sophomores, the program is designed to develop leadership potential and to acquaint participants with community needs, problems, and resources through interaction with local leaders and decision makers.
