  • At the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, we believe that there’s a leader in all of us and our chamber leadership programs give you the tools to fine tune your problem solving, team building and management skills and recognize your potential while offering experiential learning opportunities.

    Leadership and Youth Leadership Henry fosters informed, well-equipped, and invested leaders and continues to do so today! It is a true community collaborative, not just a Chamber program.


            

    Leadership Henry Program

          

    Leadership Henry is a 10-month program dedicated to providing participants with an understanding of our county's history, diversity, justice system, politics, government, economy, education, human services, and healthcare. www.leadershiphenry.com


     

     Youth Leadership Henry

     

    Youth Leadership Henry is an annual program sponsored by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of Youth Leadership Henry is to identify emerging leaders, to bring them together in an atmosphere conducive to the free exchange of ideas, and to provide them with an enlightening educational experience.  Participants are taught leadership skills while learning about the various government, economic and social sectors of the community. Upon completion of the program, participants will have an increased awareness of the vital issues and needs of the community and challenged to be responsible and engaged leaders. Youth Leadership Henry website.

     


    2024 Scholarship for Young Women

    Sponsored by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and administered by the Women's Leadership Council, the Scholarship For Young Women offers two $500 scholarship opportunities for Henry County female students. The application period for 2024 opened on November 30, 2023 and closes on January 17, 2024, at midnight!

                                   Scholarship Requirements

    • Applicant must be a female Henry County High School Junior or Senior.
    • Applicant must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher. Transcript required.
    • The applicant will write a 500-word essay (in 12-point Times New Roman) highlighting any awards, community services, work experience and explaining how receiving the scholarship will help the student attain her educational plans and career goals.


    The Scholarship for Young Women will be awarded during the 2024 Women's EmPOWERment Summit on March 7, 2024.
