Hospitality for all. Respect for elders. Empathy for others. These basic tenants are only a few of the shared values that have been passed down through generations to help us lead better lives. These same values were keystone in the customer service training and lessons in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) begun in the 'Hospitality for All' program developed by the Henry County tourism team, better known as Visit Henry County, GA.
The opportunity to continue the Hospitality for All lessons in customer service and DEI will be available through a series of mid-morning conversations over coffee presented by Visit Henry County, GA, and the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. The series will provide forums for individuals who completed Hospitality for All to continue the enhancement of their customer service expertise and DEI awareness by learning more about different tribes, cultures, and ethnicities.
The kick-off in these conversations will feature a presentation by Johnny Waits, co-founder and tour guide at the Flat Rock Archives located in the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area. Flat Rock is one of the oldest Black communities in Georgia.
Information about the next Hospitality for All class, which will begin in January 2022, will be presented during this event. The event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
