March 19 Business Booster Luncheon Canceled due to Covid-19
In taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our members, the Business Booster Luncheon scheduled for Thursday, March 19, has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date yet to be determined.
Registrants will receive a credit for the full amount paid towards an upcoming Business Booster Luncheon.
Topic: Legal Essentials for Social Media Success We've heard the best practices for utilizing Social Media. We've learned how to promote our businesses through a variety of web-based portals as well as how and when to respond to negative feedback. The third piece of this series will educate guests on privacy policies and the Can-Spam Act. In addition, we'll hear about avoiding the National Labor Relations Board and the magic language that influencers need in order to legally keep affiliate commissions on recommended products and services. If these details sound like a mouth-full, then you should most definitely attend our March Business Booster Luncheon! The speaker, Melissa Malcom, will break down the legal aspect of Social Media, into an easy-to-understand presentation.
About the Speaker Melissa is a well-rounded individual having a background in law, government- service, and healthcare. Her passion is keeping business owners out of legal trouble. Once nicknamed “Bulldog,” Melissa is known for helping business leaders find solutions to their employee drama. She helps them navigate through all of the state and federal employment laws that impact their decisions. She received her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and has a B.A. in Journalism from Auburn University, summa cum laude.
