Thanks to Dodie Cason, Chair, Small Business Council, for submitting a recap of the Business Booster Luncheon held on June 20 where our new Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Henning was the keynote speaker.
The June Business Booster Luncheon was a sold-out event filled with energetic networking between business professionals. A great meal was provided by Cowboy Chicken. We had the opportunity to hear from our event sponsor, Takle Eye Group. Representing the group was Dr. Benjamin Baumrind M.D of Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Retinal Surgeon. He shared details with us about their facilities located in Griffin and Locust Grove and the services they provide at each. We all came to hear the vision that Joseph Henning, the new Chamber President and CEO, has for the future of the Henry County Chamber. Even the Georgia Heat hasn’t dampened his excitement about the chamber members and their involvement with the organization and their eagerness to create a better community. Joe shared that he will focus on business growth and job growth; working to make Henry County a better place to live and work. He wants to hear your voice and is open to your ideas and suggestions. He concluded his remarks with inquiries to the luncheon attendees. He wanted our feedback on how the Chamber and its employees have helped us with individual and business needs. He asked about possible new programs he could implement and specific industries and businesses the chamber should work to build relationships with. It seems our new leader will quickly adjust to sweet tea, southern hospitality, and our wonderful community. Welcome Joe, we are glad to have you here with us!
