    Henry County Small Businesses Selected to Participate in the Community Business Development Program (CBDP)

    Congratulations to the following Henry County small businesses that were recommended by the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and selected to participate in the Community Business Development Program (CBDP) supported through the Georgia Education Foundation.

    The small businesses owners attended the Henry County Business Readiness Program where they met with The Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) President and CEO, Stacey Key.
     
    The GMSDC Community Business Development Program (CBDP) is a small business readiness initiative designed to rapidly assist local and community entrepreneurs with scaling their businesses and moving them toward long-term sustainability. Program eligibility criteria are as follows:
     
    - In business for at least two years
    - Annual revenue of at least $50,000 (recently lowered from $100,000
    - A minimum of one employee other than the owner
     
     
    The Georgia Education Foundation is a non-profit established in 2012 to provide educational opportunities to small business owners and entrepreneurs across the state of Georgia.
     
    The goal of the GMSDC Community Business Development Program (CBDP) is to assist these businesses in creating jobs, employing community members, developing growth strategies and strengthening their communities.
