Free COVID-19 Testing Site to be Held Tomorrow
Drive-up Coronavirus testing available to all during pop-up testing event
HENRY COUNTY, GA- May 21, 2020—The District 4 Department of Public Health is holding a pop-up testing site on Friday, May 22 open to anyone who wants to be tested for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

It was earlier this month that the Henry County Board of Commissioners requested additional testing in the county, supported by the cities of Hampton, Locust Grove, McDonough and Stockbridge, officials with the DPH responded immediately with plans for a pop-up testing day. The free COVID-19 testing will be held on Friday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at J.P. Moseley Park in Stockbridge.

Individuals do not have to have symptoms nor have had to been in contact with a person who previously tested positive for the virus. There is no appointment necessary, however pre-registration is available but not required. This is a drive-up event and individuals do not have to leave their vehicle to be tested. The World Health Organization has stated that data to date suggests that 80 percent of infections are mild or asymptomatic.

Additionally, Henry County Transit will be providing free transportation for county residents to and from the testing site for those who need it. To schedule a trip for testing, please call 770-288-7444.

J.P. Moseley is located at 1041 Millers Mill Rd. in Stockbridge, GA 30281.
