-- The wait is over: Culver’s® of McDonough will celebrate its opening on Monday, September 11 with a ribbon cutting ceremony 9:00 am. Known for its famous ButterBurger® and fresh frozen custard, the restaurant serves fast casual food cooked-to-order.
Franchise owner, Sarah Ruiz, Mayor Billy Copeland, Dee McIntyre of TouchMark National Bank, Hughes Construction and the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and local city officials will be on hand to cut the ribbon to the new restaurant. The restaurant is located at 90 Hwy. 81 W. Hours of operation are 10:30am to 10:00pm with the exception of a few holidays.

“My very first job in 2002 was working at Culver’s of Bloomington, IL, owned and operated by franchisee, Bret Freistedt,” says Ruiz. When I left my job at the restaurant to further my education, Bret gave gave me a GPS programmed with the restaurant's address as "Home." It made me think that perhaps Culver's could be part of my future. However, after college, like many graduates, I began the search for adventure, personal growth and professional opportunities. I was fortunate to receive an internship with the Disney College program. It was a great experience, but I sensed there was something greater waiting for me.”
