    Title: Maintenance Technician I                                
    Department: Production Engineering
    Report to: Maintenance Engineer and Manager           
      
    MAJOR FUNCTION:
    1. Assist in the installation of new automated manufacturing and facilities equipment.
    2. Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, mechanical, and equipment repair or replacement.
    3. Support engineering activities as assigned by the maintenance engineers and managers.
    4. Work as a team member in continuous improvement efforts for machine capacity utilization.       
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
    1. Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
    2. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and replacement as necessary.
    3. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
    4. Reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
    5. Installs replacement parts for machines.
    6. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
    7. Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
    8. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. 
    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Assumes other duties as assigned by Team Engineer and Manager.
    PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
    1. High school diploma or equivalent required.  Preferred certification or associates in electrical and/or mechanical program.
    2. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment with preferred experience in lean manufacturing. 
    3. Must have experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system.
    4. Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.
    5. Skill in using hand and power tools.
    6. Familiarity with solving electrical and mechanical issues.
    Physical Requirements:
    1. Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
    2. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
    3. Must be able to visually inspect machines.
    4. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    5. Must be able to work in confined spaces.

    1. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaced tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
    2. High concentration for repair of mechanical and electric issues on machine equipment
    3. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
    4. Strong verbal and written communication/documentation skills
    5. Goal and team oriented working attitude with open mindset
