    Job Description
    The S.W.A.G. Program, a vibrant year-round Youth Services GED/Workforce Development program administered under the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and funded through the federal Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), is seeking qualified instructors.
    Math Candidate must possess the knowledge to teach:
    • Math computation
    • Algebraic reasoning
    • Geometry
    Science Candidate must possess the knowledge to teach:
    • Life Science, Physical Science, Earth and Space Science
    • Fundamentals of scientific reasoning and understanding, inference skills, problem-solving, procedural skill, and fluency in realistic situations.
    Social Studies Candidate must possess the knowledge to teach:
    • Skills in Social Studies, including concepts for students that are at varying age levels including but not limited to Civics and government, United States history, Economics, Geography, and the world.

    Candidate will teach, tutor, create lesson plans, and mentor.
    Part-time candidate will work up to 25 hours a week, Monday through Thursday.
    Experience working with at-risk students age 16-24 required.
    The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree, or completing an externship.
    Must possess the ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
