The Stockbridge Main Street Program will host an informal panel discussion, Maximizing Sales, Dining, and Shopping During a Socially Distant Holiday Season, on Thursday, November 19th at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. This informative session is designed to provide small business owners with innovative ideas and effective ways to welcome shoppers and diners to their shops and restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic for the upcoming holiday season.
Panelists will include, Greg Horton, owner of BarnBeautiful, a unique home furnishings store and gallery in downtown Stockbridge; Prayre Finley, owner and CEO of Stockbridge-based Elf’s Cakery; and Christy Deen, owner of Drip Thru Coffee, which has locations in both Stockbridge and College Park. Discussion topics will focus on everything from optimizing social media marketing and utilizing delivery services to creating safe in-store environments for holiday shoppers and how to boost online sales. All small business owners who operate restaurants, retail stores, and even home-based businesses will gain insight into successfully coping with COVID-19 limitations and implementing effective social distancing measures, while also increasing sales and customer visits.
“As we get closer to Small Business Saturday on November 28th, it is important for us to give our locally owned businesses the tools they need to be successful during the upcoming holiday season,” said Kira Harris-Braggs, Stockbridge Main Street Program Manager. “Some of our stores and restaurants faced setbacks due to COVID-19 closures. Now, more than ever before, we have to really focus on keeping our small businesses afloat. Our panel discussion will look at ways that small businesses can tweak their operations to make customers feel more comfortable shopping and dining onsite, while also suggesting ways that these businesses can better capture online sales as well.”
