We are always ready to spotlight the many opportunities that are available for students to develop workforce skills and pursue their aspirations here in Henry County.  Southern Crescent Technical College has announced its inaugural Tech Connect event which actually has a dual purpose. This fundraiser for the SCTC Foundation presents the community an opportunity to visit the new Building B that recently opened here in Henry County and it will showcase the skills of the students in its Culinary Arts Program. The setting sounds deliciously unique and interesting. The event actually introduces a fabulous new word to our lexicons—one that sparks imagination and immediately makes you smarter. The Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation's inaugural Tech Connect is set for Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the SCTC Henry County Center. Tech Connect, a wine, local craft beer and charcuterie event designed to connect the college and community will be held in our new state-of-the-art Building B at the Henry Center. 
 
Our own Culinary Arts Program chef and students will feature the charcuterie (pronounced "shahr-ku-tuh-ree") is the art of preparing and assembling an assortment of meats that are paired with different accompaniments, such as breads, fruit, cheese, and sauces. The success of Tech Connect is determined in a large part by select community-minded businesses stepping forward as Signature and Corporate Sponsors for the event. The Foundation uses funds from events like this to provide student scholarships, purchase land for college expansion, and help maintain the financial health of the College. Please complete the attached sponsorship form and mail it back to us (or see details below to register online) with your check for the sponsorship level you choose – plus any other contribution you may wish to include!
