  • Urban Air Park Receives National Recognition and Industry Awards For Reopening Plans Post COVID-19

In addition to creating a Dedicated Sanitation Team, Urban Air McDonough has utilized state of the art digital thermal technology to help provide a safe environment for employees to work and guests to play.

Amusement Today, a leading trade publication of the amusement industry, announced its annual Golden Ticket Awards this afternoon. For more than two decades, the prestigious honors have been the most sought-after awards in the world of amusements and themed entertainment.

“This has been a challenging year, but there is still a tremendous amount of hard work going on. Amusement Today didn’t want to miss an opportunity to recognize those who continue to move the industry forward,” said Publisher Gary Slade.

Through the global crisis, the amusement industry has demonstrated its strength through its innovation and resilience. Stepping away from its traditional core categories, the Golden Ticket Awards have seized the moment to acknowledge strong decisions through a series of Industry Leader Awards.

As the pandemic struck, Urban Air Adventure Parks took immediate action. At the forefront was the company’s management team making sure guests, franchisees, team members and facilities were taken care of — and that not just one component would bear the brunt. Customer service was elevated, and as managers took pay-cuts, CEO Michael Browning enrolled personnel in the Dave Ramsey, Smart Dollar Program, that resulted in over $50,000 in debt being paid down, even in challenging times. Upon reopening, Urban Air properties made the cleaning and sanitation process a part of the guest experience.

Urban Air Adventure Parks is honored with a Golden Ticket Industry Leader: Family Entertainment Center Award for its forward-thinking initiatives.
